The following documents qualify for Kansas apostilles:
documents notarized a Kansas Notary Public
certified copies of Kansas vital records (old documents are ACCEPTABLE)
certified copies issued by Kansas courts
documents issued by Kansas Secretary of State
Birth, marriage, divorce, death certificate and verification of No Marriage letters must be certified copies issued by the Office of Vital statistics (Kansas Department of Health and Environment)
Divorce decrees and court judgments must be certified copies prepared by a State Court.
Powers of attorney, affidavits, notarized letters, etc. must have an original, completed notarization block by a Kansas notary public. Any errors on the notarization could disqualify the document for an apostille.

Diplomas and transcripts should be properly certified by School Regisrar and his/her signature must be notarized by a Kansas notary.
