Massachusetts Hague apostille

Do you need Hague apostilles for your Massachusetts documents? We provide Apostille and Embassy legalization services in the State of Massachusetts and nationwide, for documents intended for international use.

If you are traveling overseas, or sending a Massachusetts document for use in a foreign country, you may be required to have the document apostilled or legalized. Hague apostilles have been adopted internationally as a uniform way of verifying documents sent between countries.

What does a Massachusetts apostille look like?

In the State of Massachusetts, as in all U.S. states, an apostille is a separate page attached to the document by a staple and ribbons. It is signed by the Secretary of the Commonwealth (red facsimile signature) and has the Seal of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

tip 2

Massachusetts birth, marriage and death certificates must be issued and bear the signature of the current State Registrar of vital statistics. Birth, marriage and death certificates can also be issued by the City or Town Clerks. Old documents are acceptable as long as they bear an original seal.

tip 2Massachusetts marriage certificates may be signed by a City or Town Clerk. These marriage certificates will be eligible for apostilles.

tip 2

For individuals needing a photograph notarized, a Notary Public may not certify nor authenticate a photograph. However, a Notary  Public may notarize a statement by the principal regarding the photograph. That notarization does not authenticate or certify the  photograph, it only verifies that the individual making the statement signed the statement.

tip 2Diplomas and transcripts:  (1) Have your school registrar certify to the record in the presence of a Notary. (2) The Notary Public will then notarize the signature of the school registrar. Read more about apostille requirements for school transcripts in Massachusetts....

We obtain apostilles for documents originating from all 14 Massachusetts counties:  Barnstable | Berkshire | Bristol | Dukes | Essex | Franklin | Hampden | Hampshire | Middlesex | Nantucket | Norfolk | Plymouth | Suffolk | Worcester
